What is Heir To Magic?
Several years ago I decided that I would kick start my muses by creating a blog by which to be held accountable for writing. Not just writing, writing a specific amount on my novel each day so that I would be more likely to finish the first draft of the novel and get it finished and ready to start looking for a publisher - or at least an editor… I’d settle for a decent pile of rejection letters.
That blog was A Writer’s Life. A blog on my website where I kept my word count. It moved to Blogspot when I revised my website and became a blog all its own. Now it had not only word counts, but listed my favorite forms of procrastination and talked about writing in general and what I was up to. It was my online notebook for my work as a freelance writer.
A Writer’s Life has now taken on more of a random jotting of notes area than an actual blog dedicated to my novel, so I have decided that it is time to take an even greater step and give Heir To Magic its own website.
Thus HeirToMagic.com has been born!
Here is my virtual notebook for my novel. I will evolve this website as my novel evolves, but for now, it is to be a place where I can talk about what I am doing on my novel and prove, through work here, that I am actually working on my novel.
Will it be published? Will it be a best seller? Will it take up space in my sock drawer like my last novel? Who knows, but I would like to find out, and I will share what I learn along the way with anyone else that cares to stop in from time to time and see what I have here.
Welcome to my world.
