You could win a Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

Enter to win at MyWoodenSpoonDOTcomYes, yes, I have been procrastinating again, but it’s for a good reason, really!

A Cowboy’s Wife is having a contest on her food blog! You can win a Hamilton Beach® Stand Mixer and she’ll ship anywhere so everyone is eligible!

It is such a kewl prize for her first contest on that blog, and I want to win it soooo bad, that I have just… well… I been ignoring the little Heir muses that were whispering at me to write.  :::sigh::: I’m such a bad bad person.

Okay, yes, I know, that’s not the ONLY thing I have been up to, I should have had time to work on Heir, but you have to admit, that is one kewl contest prize.  Go check it,  and her blog, out.  I love hunting for recipes to try on her blog.

Found my novel’s atlas and sketchbook

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

I have found my Heir To Magic Atlas, and the sketchbook I have been making for the world, so now I can scan in the pages and start creating the website that I had been planning when I started out with it.  That has me really excited and I can’t wait to see if my vision actually takes the shape that I have been holding in mind for it or not.  Please be sure you come back and see what I have created later on when I have had a chance to get this thing up and going.

Want to find Scrivener for PCs

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

I was looking at Scrivener – I wish now I was using Macs instead of IBMs, LOL  I like the way Scrivener looks and would like to find something like that in a PC version.

New Year off to a fast start

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

The New Year seems to be off to a very fast start.  It is hard to believe that it is already over a week into 2008.  And no, before you ask, I have not got anything written on Heir to Magic since I made my resolution.

Sleep keeps getting in the way, so I am thinking I need to start putting my novel work first thing in the morning and getting at least a paragraph on that before I move on to other things that I have to work on during the day.

Novel bar is not broken

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

No, my novel bar has not been broken, the novel still sits at the same word count.  I plan to work on the novel, but at the moment I am still catching up with 2008.  One of my resolutions is to finish the rough draft for this novel so I can start working on revising it.  I have just not got the chance yet to dive back into it, but I have determined that no later than the 7th I will be working on getting Heir back into being worked on.  Even if all I can write is a paragraph a week it’s better than nothing.  Right?
